They are strong and proud members of National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI). The strength of our members makes NUSI, a powerful and responsible union nationally and internationally. In addition to strong NUSI agreements, our members have also benefitted from the welfare and training initiatives of NUSI on the same level for the benefit of serving, retired, medically unfit, deceased seafarers and their families. Monthly provisions to retired seafarers and widows of seafarers requiring support 206 17. “NUSI SurakshaKavach” – Rs. 25 / Rs. 50 Lakhs insurance to benefit NUSI members and their families Under Process NUSI wants more and more seafarers and their families to take benefit of the various NUSI welfare and training initiatives. We strongly advise all seafarers to keep their NUSI membership updated. On request of our members, NUSI had also started online payment of membership. The seafarers serving on Indian and foreign flag ships can update their membership online for the years 2021 and 2022. Do ensure that the NUSI membership for the previous years are updated. Seafarers can also visit the NUSI Branch offices pan India and update their membership. Follow the following online steps to update your NUSI membership. · Go to link http://membership.nusi.org.in which is also available on the NUSI Website www.nusi.org.in home page under “Membership Payment” option. · Enter your Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) number. · Select your rank from the drop-down menu or enter it manually. · Select company and ship name from the drop-down menu or enter it manually. · The membership amount is displayed. · Current and previous year dues has to be made in two separate payments. · Click on “Pay Now” button and follow the payment instructions. · Payment mode of operation by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking. After making successful payment, seafarers will receive their Membership Receipt on their email ID registered with NUSI. You can download and also print the receipt.
